Goodbudget and Total Money MakeOver

I just really love using the Goodbudget googleplay android app. I use the virtual envelopes as suggested in the total money makeover by Dave Ramsey. I have been using now for last four months. I'm making allot of progress. I'm also doing the 52 money challenge as well and tucking it into a christmas club account for now. I'm planning on opening an american express savings as well this year. I'm working now on building a 3-6 months of income for expenses extending my emergency fund. This has been much progress for me. Bills have always been on time, but I like to be ahead of the game.

    I'm interested in how Goodbudget works. I checked the site but insufficient details. Are you on the free side or fee side? What do you like best? Did it compel you to plan spending for an entire year anticipating events with a specific sum attached to each category? Does it work for you because you're by nature 'frugal'? If you have a refund from income tax, how will you allocate? I'm hoping you'll help me understand the process better.

    Does your chosen AMEX savings plan offer a special rate or benefit you like? I'm so frustrated with the super low saving rate for an account I need to keep 'liquid.'
